Clean Eating Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chips Creamy Dip

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chips Creamy Dip | NotEnoughCinnamon.com

Today is Monday. In other words, the end of the weekend, and I feel grumpy. I’m just not ready for the week to start yet. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love what I do, especially with the new exciting projects I’m working on (more on that very soon!). I just need a day to transition into ‘week-mode’. Or something delicious to eat could help, too. Like peanut butter and chocolate chips. Together.

Let’s bring some happiness back in our lives with this Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chips Creamy Dip (Me? Dramatic? Not at all). I feel like the title of this recipe says it all. There’s peanut, there’s chocolate and it’s creamy. So by essence, it’s delicious. Am i right? My little secret ingredient to make this dish extra creamy is…cream cheese! #nomnomnom And because we can’t really eat the whole pack (bikini season approaching in the Northern Hemisphere anyone?), I mixed it up with thick Greek yogurt. This recipe was designed to be a fruit dip – it’s fabulous with bananas – but obviously there’s a lot more you can do with it. Like eating it by the spoonful. Err I meant spreading it on a toast. Or on pancakes. How would you use this dip?

Ingredients

  • 3.5 oz / 100 g light Philadelphia Cream Cheese - at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, soften cream cheese with a whisk. Add yogurt and peanut butter, and whisk to combine. Add chocolate chips and whisk again. At this point, you can taste the dip and add some honey or sugar if it's not sweet enough to your taste (I didn't add any).
  2. Serve immediately or store in the fridge.

Notes

You can serve this as fruit dip (it's delicious with bananas!), as a spread on toasts or...eat it by the spoonful!

  1. This might have to be my indulgence this week! Maybe on buckwheat banana pancakes? I would love to eat by the spoon, but while it may not be bikini weather here in the UK, there are festival cut off shorts looming! Hope you beat the Monday blues xx

    1. This would be SO GOOD on buckwheat banana pancakes! Just the thought of it makes my tummy rumble. Invite your friends over to make sure you stick to the serving size and you’ll be all good for the festival season! Thanks for stopping by Stephanie 🙂

  2. Hmmmm don’t think I should make this one because I would just hrab a spoon and dig in!! Needless to say this northern hemisphere gorl does NOT, have to worry about a bikini body for good reason…..reipes like this….lol. It does indeed look delicous! I have no self control!

    1. Allison, I’m not gonna lie to you. Grabbing a spoon and dig in is most likely the first thing you’ll do – been there, done that 😉 BUT here’s my advice: take your husband/children/friend and put him/her right next to you in the kitchen while you’re making the dip. As soon as you’re finished, take your serving and give the rest IMMEDIATELY to your devoted eater who will kindly devour the whole thing. It tried this technique and it works really well 😉

  3. I can see this would be a nice fruit dip, but why would anybody eat it any way other than by the spoonful????? 🙂
