Strawberry and Cantaloupe Smoothie

A delicious breakfast or snack loaded with fruits and flavors! Refined sugar free. Can be vegan and dairy free. Perfect in spring and summer. See the recipe on NotEnoughCinnamon.com #cleaneating

A fresh and summery smoothie made with fresh strawberry, sweet cantaloupe and banana – the perfect snack or light breakfast for when the temperatures start to climb up and the sun is high in the sky!

This smoothie is super refreshing, creamy and naturally sweet thanks to the fruits. You can omit the dairy to keep it vegan, but I like to add a few tablespoons for added protein and a creamier texture. You could also use collagen peptides for a boost of nutrients (it doesn’t taste anything, unlike protein powder, and it’s really good for your skin and your guts!). Enjoy!

With 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
Cal: 153 - Protein: 6g - Fat:0.92g - Carbs: 33.7g - Fiber: 5g - Sugar: 23.6g

Ingredients

  • About 10 strawberries (medium size), hulled and quartered - you can also use frozen strawberries
  • 3/4 cup cantaloupe flesh, cubbed
  • 1/2 medium banana (frozen ideally)
  • 1 tbsp water or more to taste (or milk)
  • optional - 1 to 2 tbsp Greek yogurt (omit if vegan or dairy free)

Directions

  1. Place the fruits in your blender (this is my blender). Start the blender and process until smooth. If the smoothie is too thick or your blender needs a little help, add about one tablespoon of water or milk and blend again.
  2. For a boost of protein and a thicker smoothie, add one to two tablespoons of Greek yogurt (not included in the nutrition facts). You might need to add more water or milk.
  3. Serve immediately.
