Two weeks ago, we were grocery shopping with Solal when I spotted this amazing special: 1 kilo (about 2.3 lb) of smoked salmon for only $19. Talk about an awesome bargain! As an unconditional smoked salmon lover, I couldn’t pass this great opportunity to gorge on the delicious stuff. The initial plan was to freeze some of it, because you know, 1 kilo is a lot when there’s only two of you. But for some reason, I could get myself to do it (probably because I
secretly wanted to eat the whole thing) and we ended up having a “smoked salmon themed” week. We first made some lox & cream cheese bagels, because they’re my favorite way to eat smoked salmon. Pair it with a nice movie on a Friday night and that’s what paradise looks like to me. And then we practically added salmon to every meal we were having, including this salad. Which obviously led to an overdose. I probably won’t be able to eat smoked salmon again, for at least…a week
